Once I booked I was not sure how will be the property and how far from main road . But when we reach there and drop it was just exceptional. The owner and her daughter Nataly they was helpful from the beginning of our trip . She was always super active and responsive in my all little little enquiries . The room we got it was no 7 . One of the beautiful room we can imagined . Interior design was so much amazing and it’s touch my heart

We liked just everything, super welcoming people and great place to stay, gret positive vibs, great location to enjoy your quite but at the same time close to everything you need... ideal to enjoy a nice break in Santorini, we will definitively go again and recommend it!!!

Its nice property just 5 minutes walk for Caldera view. You can also enjoy the sunrise from the other side of the island. Hosts are great and offered help to book taxi and day tour.

Awesome place, peaceful, clean and with an amazing staff. The staff is going to help you with all the request you have, they really kind and available for them guests. The location is perfect, 2 min. by quad-bike from the Imerovigli’s Town, 10 min. from Fira, and 15-20 min. from Oia - just perfect. Enjoyed the morning breakfast who changes day by day. The pool view is really good and really clean. If we will have the possibility to go back to Santorini we could choose again Golden East! Thanks y’all.

We loved Nataly’s kindness. We had few problems with the quad rent or with the trasport to the port and she was super nice and always there to help.
The little villas are very lovely arranged and we appreciated a lot the breakfast served to the room or directly at the pool. The pool was always open for us also after the check out and Natale kept our luggages to enjoy Santorini till the last minute. Vote 10!

Everything was really beautiful. The kindness of the girl was contagious. She was avaiable any time we needed her help; She let us invite two friends for an evening in swimming pool. The place is so beautiful, and the view amazing. We have already suggested it to a friend that will come in Autumn.

The team at Golden East could not have been better. They did absolutely everything they could to help.
Rooms and common areas very clean and tastefully done.
The property is a 5 minute walk from the best view of sunset away from crowds in Oia and Fira.

Golden East is a small and warm place to stay. Each "room" is like a semi detached small traditional house with two terraces so you can get sun all day round - or avoid it, depending on the season. You feel at home in the tiniest of the eights room. Wifi is good and support videoconferences with no problem. You can work if needed.
Bed is sturdy and comfy, the architecture and decoration of the place is really nice and the view on the sea and morning sunset is wonderful. It is cleaned up everyday. The all place is very clean and tidied up every time.
As the hotel is small, the common areas - pool and picnic tables aren't crowdy and always available at breakfast time. Breakfast is served at your place. It is healthy and tasty and Nataly can adjust to your choices which is really nice. Perfectly situated to go everywhere on the island. Nataly and Costas are great and delicate hosts who can help at all time. And Marina the cleaner is very lively and will teach you a couple of greek words and make you smile every morning.
We spent a wonderful week.

The views were breath taking just from our location. The breakfast is excellent, the Host is so so wonderful, she ensures you maximize your experience..Excellent tips on beaches, food , historical sites, very accommodating.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Santorini without having to stay in a busy town. The rooms are very large, beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast is generous, the pool is heavenly and the service is outstanding. It is just a few minutes walk from one of my favourite views of the caldera (really high up) and the town of Imerovigli, which has very nice cafes, bars and restaurants and is much quieter than Fira. Will certainly come back!

A grand breakfast every morning is delivered to your room or arched porched overlooking the golden sunrise ocean.
The environment is lusciously landscaped beautifully for such an arid island. Wonderful!
The location was perfect to be away from all the tourist crowds, yet the best accessibility to walk both Oia and Fira.
Inter-island bus service is located close just down the street. No need for a rental car.
Large pool for lap swimming and enjoying the pristine view every day and night.
We were privileged to meet a famous opera singer also visiting the Golde East!

Couldn't be happier with my stay at nataly & Katrins!! Nataly and her father costas were present upon my arrival and greeted me warmly. My room was lovely and cosy and had a lovely sea view! Breakfast available for €10 and set me up well for the day! Very hospitable and willing to help at all times :) would definitely recommend to all - worth having a car as walking along the busy road is a little dangerous as barely any footpaths in santorini anywhere!! But nevertheless a short walk from the views of the caldera and oia and a short car ride to thira! Enjoyable stay and would come again!!

Picked this hotel originally due to affordable room rate but turned out to love the hotel in every way! Super friendly host (run by a family), cute duplex room, nice pool and everything had a thoughtful tough. So clean and spotless too. Location is also great, 15 mins from airport and almost going everywhere in 20 mins by car.

Wife and I are currently finishing our 6 nights at the Golden East. The property is conveniently located, at about a 5 minute drive to Fira town. Little whitewashed huts are adorable and well-furnished, with beds in the upper “loft”. Natalie and her father are also fantastic hosts, willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have a fantastic stay. Breakfast each day can be served at either front or back tables at your units or at one of the shaded “public” tables. Plenty of variety for you to choose from. Renting a vehicle is recommended and there is plenty of parking onsite. Do not hesitate to stay here, if you visit Santorini.

My experience was fantastic, the location, facilities and service were amazing. The stuff were incredible and very helpful, always willing to help for our transport around the island. Everything nice, clean and the pool was magnificent.

Everything was amazing and clean which is super important in times like this. The employees were so polite and helpful. The pool was fantastic and the room was spacious and magnificent. My time there was an absolute blast and I highly recommend it to everyone looking for a hotel in Santorini it’s an opportunity you shouldn’t or I should say you mustn’t lose.

We booked Golden East as it was good value for Santorini and looked absolutely gorgeous and we weren’t disappointed. We arranged a transfer with Nataly via email from the airport for €25 and were greeted warmly on arrival by Kostas and Katrin. The rooms are perfect; spacious and with gorgeous white and grey decor. The pool area is fantastic and you can have breakfast by the pool if you wish!

The hotel is based outside of Imerovigli and not within walking distance of any town, this wasn’t a problem for us as we had decided in advance that we would hire a car which Nataly helped us organise. This hotel is perfect for anyone who doesn’t mind hiring a car/quad/scooter to get out and explore the island and wants somewhere tranquil to return to at the end of the day. There is some traffic noise but the view of the ocean and the wonderful hotel make up for the busy road!

To save money, next time we would not pay for a transfer and arrange car hire in advance and drive directly to the hotel, it is only a 15 min drive away! But if you don’t have googlemaps or are nervous about driving on Greek roads I would recommend the transfer to start with!

We stayed for 6 nights at Golden East Hotel in Oct. The hotel is charming and lovely.
You can choose the breakfast from the list and it's nice to have it at private terrace. The swimming pool was also a nice looking although I didn't go in, but my daughter enjoyed sitting at the pool side.
Imerovigli is easy to access to Thira (Fira) and Oia. We did a nice walking for 45 mins to get to Thira and nearly 2 hours walking to Oia on another day. If you drive, it took only 10 min to Thia and 20 min to Oia. Usually you can reach to any places in around 20 minutes by car. Kamari beach and Pygros were also beautiful and highly recommend to visit these places. I think it is very convenient location to see entire island.
This hotel is the back side of the beautiful sea view, so you can't see the amazing view from the hotel although you can see the other side of sea view. If you want to see the special view (sun set) from the hotel, you can find the hotel on the other side of the road, but you have to pay more than double or triple the price. Since we were out most of the days and not the type of people who stay at the hotel for the most of days, it was perfect for us for this lovely hotel for this reasonable price.
The highlight and the reason for the 5 stars are hotel staffs, especially the hotel manager, Natalie and her father. They are really nice people and very helpful. You don't find that kind of genuinely warm-hearted people easily. They are friendly and want to help. I'm really touched by their kindness and I really feel great to meet them.

We stayed at Golden East Imerovigli end of July 2021 for four nights. We truly enjoyed.

We booked the honeymoon suite (room) which was super spacious with a massive sofa and all amenities you may want (french press for coffee, absolute great!).

The hotel is really beautiful, quiet, friendly staff (family owned). And very clean. They do only have 7 rooms (we stayed in #7 just next to the pool.


Breakfast is served after you order either at the pool or on your terrace. It's nice, tasty and changes every day.

The price you pay is amazing for what you get. But therefore, the location is not like "in the city". You really have to like to walk or have a rent a car. We did not have a rent a car, but love to walk so for us it was not a problem to walk to Thera (approx. 1 hour) up and down hills but this is not for everyone. There is a bus stop around 500m from the hotel but due to a circle-line, when you want to go to Thera you always first have to go via Oia which again makes the trip take around one hour so we did something good for our body and walked. Last bus at night also around 22.30 (depending on season, weekday or weekend I believe)

Apparently food delivery is possible but we did not have a menu but you can ask Nataly, one of the owners. She also assisted with PCR-test booking in Thera, they sell excursions, rent a cars etc. Always helpful.

Keep the location also in mind when you want a grocery (water, snacks) you must walk to Imerovigli village 20min uphill and back. Again, for us it was ok, but do not be surprised if you expected different.

View of hotel is NOT to Caldera but airport/Kamari side of the island. Keep also in mind that there are electricity lines in front of the hotel/pool area. The photos you see online are photo-shopped. Ok for us, but keep it in mind :) Also there is a road just below the hotel which is used by the bus and trucks as well. We did not feel disturbed by the sound.

But: compared to other hotels in the area, Golden East beats them all for the price. It is really beautiful, clean and quiet and still in walking distance to Thera. If you just walk like 500m next to the famous Cavo Tagoo hotel you have the Caldera view for sunset. What else you want! :)

Wifi at the hotel is fabulous, different networks for hotel room, pool area etc.

We actually did a self-check-in. Staff is onside mainly in the mornings. Make sure they have your contact details.

We can definitely recommend the hotel and will come back if one day again in Santorini.

Great location, beautiful setting, great room and Nataly was very helpful in organising everything we needed very quickly over whatsapp. We didn’t rent a car but were able to walk to Imerovigli and Fira, location is great. We will be coming back!

My partner and I stayed at Golden East in June for 3 nights and my word, what a find!

We booked the family room which was beautiful and extremely spacious. Every morning breakfast was brought to us in our room, where we could sit on our balcony and enjoy the view over the sea.

Whilst all of the rooms were booked, the hotel was generally quite quiet and we often found ourselves having the pool to ourselves.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Nataly and Costas were exceptional! On our last day whilst by the pool, Costas kindly brought us over fresh fruit with his compliments, which was really nice, personal touch!

We will 100% stay here again, highly recommend!
