Golden East

Great location, beautiful setting, great room and Nataly was very helpful in organising everything we needed very quickly over whatsapp. We didn’t rent a car but were able to walk to Imerovigli and Fira, location is great. We will be coming back!

Wife and I are currently finishing our 6 nights at the Golden East. The property is conveniently located, at about a 5 minute drive to Fira town. Little whitewashed huts are adorable and well-furnished, with beds in the upper “loft”. Natalie and her father are also fantastic hosts, willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have a fantastic stay. Breakfast each day can be served at either front or back tables at your units or at one of the shaded “public” tables. Plenty of variety for you to choose from. Renting a vehicle is recommended and there is plenty of parking onsite. Do not hesitate to stay here, if you visit Santorini.

We can not say enough of the Golden East family-run lodging and their great hospitality is exceptional.Nathalie and her father were heaven-set and so accommodating to our needs.Their warmth and first-class service to detail provided a memorable experience to celebrate our 25th anniversary.A grand breakfast every morning is delivered to your room or arched porched overlooking the golden sunrise ocean.The environment is lusciously landscaped beautifully for such an arid island. Wonderful!The location was perfect to be away from all the tourist crowds, yet the best accessibility to walk both Oia and Fira.Inter-island bus service is located close just down the street. No need for a rental car.Large pool for lap swimming and enjoying the pristine view every day and night.We were privileged to meet a famous opera singer also visiting the Golde East!We are definitely coming back Thanks to Nathalie and father!

The team at Golden East could not have been better. They did absolutely everything they could to help.Rooms and common areas very clean and tastefully done.The property is a 5 minute walk from the best view of sunset away from crowds in Oia and Fira.Would highly recommend.

Couldn't be happier with my stay at nataly & Katrins!! Nataly and her father costas were present upon my arrival and greeted me warmly. My room was lovely and cosy and had a lovely sea view! Breakfast available for €10 and set me up well for the day! Very hospitable and willing to help at all times :) would definitely recommend to all - worth having a car as walking along the busy road is a little dangerous as barely any footpaths in santorini anywhere!! But nevertheless a short walk from the views of the caldera and oia and a short car ride to thira! Enjoyable stay and would come again!!

We stayed at Golden East Imerovigli end of July 2021 for four nights. We truly enjoyed.We booked the honeymoon suite (room) which was super spacious with a massive sofa and all amenities you may want (french press for coffee, absolute great!).The hotel is really beautiful, quiet, friendly staff (family owned). And very clean. They do only have 7 rooms (we stayed in #7 just next to the pool.Breakfast is served after you order either at the pool or on your terrace. It's nice, tasty and changes every day.The price you pay is amazing for what you get. But therefore, the location is not like "in the city". You really have to like to walk or have a rent a car. We did not have a rent a car, but love to walk so for us it was not a problem to walk to Thera (approx. 1 hour) up and down hills but this is not for everyone. There is a bus stop around 500m from the hotel but due to a circle-line, when you want to go to Thera you always first have to go via Oia which again makes the trip take around one hour so we did something good for our body and walked. Last bus at night also around 22.30 (depending on season, weekday or weekend I believe)Apparently food delivery is possible but we did not have a menu but you can ask Nataly, one of the owners. She also assisted with PCR-test booking in Thera, they sell excursions, rent a cars etc. Always helpful.Keep the location also in mind when you want a grocery (water, snacks) you must walk to Imerovigli village 20min uphill and back. Again, for us it was ok, but do not be surprised if you expected different.View of hotel is NOT to Caldera but airport/Kamari side of the island. Keep also in mind that there are electricity lines in front of the hotel/pool area. The photos you see online are photo-shopped. Ok for us, but keep it in mind :) Also there is a road just below the hotel which is used by the bus and trucks as well. We did not feel disturbed by the sound.But: compared to other hotels in the area, Golden East beats them all for the price. It is really beautiful, clean and quiet and still in walking distance to Thera. If you just walk like 500m next to the famous Cavo Tagoo hotel you have the Caldera view for sunset. What else you want! :)Wifi at the hotel is fabulous, different networks for hotel room, pool area etc.We actually did a self-check-in. Staff is onside mainly in the mornings. Make sure they have your contact details.We can definitely recommend the hotel and will come back if one day again in Santorini.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Santorini without having to stay in a busy town. The rooms are very large, beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast is generous, the pool is heavenly and the service is outstanding. It is just a few minutes walk from one of my favourite views of the caldera (really high up) and the town of Imerovigli, which has very nice cafes, bars and restaurants and is much quieter than Fira. Will certainly come back!

We loved Nataly’s kindness. We had few problems with the quad rent or with the trasport to the port and she was super nice and always there to help.The little villas are very lovely arranged and we appreciated a lot the breakfast served to the room or directly at the pool. The pool was always open for us also after the check out and Natale kept our luggages to enjoy Santorini till the last minute. Vote 10!

Once I booked I was not sure how will be the property and how far from main road . But when we reach there and drop it was just exceptional. The owner and her daughter Nataly they was helpful from the beginning of our trip . She was always super active and responsive in my all little little enquiries . The room we got it was no 7 . One of the beautiful room we can imagined . Interior design was so much amazing and it’s touch my heart

Its nice property just 5 minutes walk for Caldera view. You can also enjoy the sunrise from the other side of the island. Hosts are great and offered help to book taxi and day tour.
