Golden East

We stayed for 6 nights at Golden East Hotel in Oct. The hotel is charming and lovely.You can choose the breakfast from the list and it's nice to have it at private terrace. The swimming pool was also a nice looking although I didn't go in, but my daughter enjoyed sitting at the pool side.Imerovigli is easy to access to Thira (Fira) and Oia. We did a nice walking for 45 mins to get to Thira and nearly 2 hours walking to Oia on another day. If you drive, it took only 10 min to Thia and 20 min to Oia. Usually you can reach to any places in around 20 minutes by car. Kamari beach and Pygros were also beautiful and highly recommend to visit these places. I think it is very convenient location to see entire island.This hotel is the back side of the beautiful sea view, so you can't see the amazing view from the hotel although you can see the other side of sea view. If you want to see the special view (sun set) from the hotel, you can find the hotel on the other side of the road, but you have to pay more than double or triple the price. Since we were out most of the days and not the type of people who stay at the hotel for the most of days, it was perfect for us for this lovely hotel for this reasonable price.The highlight and the reason for the 5 stars are hotel staffs, especially the hotel manager, Natalie and her father. They are really nice people and very helpful. You don't find that kind of genuinely warm-hearted people easily. They are friendly and want to help. I'm really touched by their kindness and I really feel great to meet them.

Picked this hotel originally due to affordable room rate but turned out to love the hotel in every way! Super friendly host (run by a family), cute duplex room, nice pool and everything had a thoughtful tough. So clean and spotless too. Location is also great, 15 mins from airport and almost going everywhere in 20 mins by car.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Santorini without having to stay in a busy town. The rooms are very large, beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast is generous, the pool is heavenly and the service is outstanding. It is just a few minutes walk from one of my favourite views of the caldera (really high up) and the town of Imerovigli, which has very nice cafes, bars and restaurants and is much quieter than Fira. Will certainly come back!

Awesome place, peaceful, clean and with an amazing staff. The staff is going to help you with all the request you have, they really kind and available for them guests. The location is perfect, 2 min. by quad-bike from the Imerovigli’s Town, 10 min. from Fira, and 15-20 min. from Oia - just perfect. Enjoyed the morning breakfast who changes day by day. The pool view is really good and really clean. If we will have the possibility to go back to Santorini we could choose again Golden East! Thanks y’all.

The views were breath taking just from our location. The breakfast is excellent, the Host is so so wonderful, she ensures you maximize your experience..Excellent tips on beaches, food , historical sites, very accommodating.

Once I booked I was not sure how will be the property and how far from main road . But when we reach there and drop it was just exceptional. The owner and her daughter Nataly they was helpful from the beginning of our trip . She was always super active and responsive in my all little little enquiries . The room we got it was no 7 . One of the beautiful room we can imagined . Interior design was so much amazing and it’s touch my heart

We liked just everything, super welcoming people and great place to stay, gret positive vibs, great location to enjoy your quite but at the same time close to everything you need... ideal to enjoy a nice break in Santorini, we will definitively go again and recommend it!!!

My partner and I stayed at Golden East in June for 3 nights and my word, what a find!We booked the family room which was beautiful and extremely spacious. Every morning breakfast was brought to us in our room, where we could sit on our balcony and enjoy the view over the sea.Whilst all of the rooms were booked, the hotel was generally quite quiet and we often found ourselves having the pool to ourselves.The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Nataly and Costas were exceptional! On our last day whilst by the pool, Costas kindly brought us over fresh fruit with his compliments, which was really nice, personal touch!We will 100% stay here again, highly recommend!

We booked Golden East as it was good value for Santorini and looked absolutely gorgeous and we weren’t disappointed. We arranged a transfer with Nataly via email from the airport for €25 and were greeted warmly on arrival by Kostas and Katrin. The rooms are perfect; spacious and with gorgeous white and grey decor. The pool area is fantastic and you can have breakfast by the pool if you wish!The hotel is based outside of Imerovigli and not within walking distance of any town, this wasn’t a problem for us as we had decided in advance that we would hire a car which Nataly helped us organise. This hotel is perfect for anyone who doesn’t mind hiring a car/quad/scooter to get out and explore the island and wants somewhere tranquil to return to at the end of the day. There is some traffic noise but the view of the ocean and the wonderful hotel make up for the busy road!To save money, next time we would not pay for a transfer and arrange car hire in advance and drive directly to the hotel, it is only a 15 min drive away! But if you don’t have googlemaps or are nervous about driving on Greek roads I would recommend the transfer to start with!

Everything was amazing and clean which is super important in times like this. The employees were so polite and helpful. The pool was fantastic and the room was spacious and magnificent. My time there was an absolute blast and I highly recommend it to everyone looking for a hotel in Santorini it’s an opportunity you shouldn’t or I should say you mustn’t lose.
